The perfect blend of style, versatility, and sustainability – the new MINI Countryman takes the lead as a solid everyday companion. Fully electric.
The Countryman model will be available with a combustion engine, and for the first time ever, fully electric. The MINI Countryman E delivers 140 kW/191 hp, while the MINI Countryman SE ALL4 is the brand's first all-wheel-drive fully electric vehicle. Two drive units on the front and rear axles generate an output of 230 kW/313 hp, including a temporary boost. The battery capacity is 64.7 kWh, providing an estimated range of around 450 kilometres. Today, every fifth MINI is already electric — and with the all-electric MINI Countryman, MINI is further expanding its range of electrified models.
All grown up.
With a length increased by 13 centimetres to 4.429 metres, the new MINI Countryman offers more space and comfort for its passengers. The height has also grown by almost six centimetres to now 1.613 metres, providing even more headroom.
More eco-friendly.
The new MINI Countryman is not just sustainable on the road: sustainability was also a major factor in its production. For example, it dispenses with all chrome decorative elements in the exterior and interior, and its cast light-alloy wheels are made from up to 70 percent secondary aluminium. In combination of green electricity used in production, CO2 emissions can be significantly reduced compared with conventional manufacturing processes. In addition to that, the surfaces of the dashboards, steering wheel, vehicle headliner, and floor, as well as floor mats, are made of recycled polyester obtained from PET bottles and carpet remnants. This high-quality, colourful, and comfortable alternative to traditional materials reduces CO2 emissions along the value chain by up to 85 percent, emphasizing the focus on minimizing the ecological footprint of the next MINI model generation.
Produced in a factory with high sustainability goals.
The new Countryman model is manufactured at the BMW Group Plant in Leipzig, making it not only the first MINI to be "Made in Germany," but also even more eco-friendly than before. The plant is one of the most advanced and sustainable automotive factories in the world. The BMW Group is investing over 800 million euros to enhance on-site e-component production capacity, with eight new production lines by 2024. One significant aspect of this investment is the decarbonization of production by replacing fossil fuels with hydrogen. As a result, the MINI Countryman is a genuine all-rounder and an excellent choice for environmentally conscious drivers who prioritize performance, safety, and style.
